Here’s a great audio clip from the Infowarrior with Jason Bermas radio show of an interview with comedian Patrice O’Neal who explains how we can fix this world a bit. It really got me thinking.
“Who do you blame for the holocaust? Do you blame Hitler who essentially was a crazy little dude with a mustache, or do you blame the thousands and thousands of soldiers who at the whim of his command would kill their fellow citizens. Kill their fellow people.” – Patrice O’Neal – Link to video
What he goes on to say is that it is not the people at the top of a pyramid who magically control our lives, but our neighbors, friends, and family. The daily people we come into contact with who seemingly have no emotional or moral perspective on very simple aspects of life. They do it because it is their job. But why work a job where your direct effort negatively effects someone’s life?
“The king is the weakest piece on the board. Why the pawn is to willing to be the pawn. There can’t be a New World Order. There can’t be these little old men in a room on top of a pyramid making these decisions unless there are us. Us’s. Who are willing to destroy other people. Those are the people I get upset with, more then some magical man who wants to destroy us… but we are the ones who are helping.” – Link to video
It’s true, without the belief in this disastrous strategy that we must sacrifice ourselves for the system, it would collapse. The system is so deeply ingrained in our everyday lives that it is difficult to even notice. The people who seek to control you couldn’t do so without our help. The people whos job it is to destroy their fellow man and bring about a negative change in the world, are the first problem that must be solved before we can live in peace.
“That’s why if we go down, it’s going to be at our help. We’re doing it. We’re doing it. Not them. We are. Cause there’s so many nobodies willing to destroy another man.” – Patrice O’Neal
