I just returned from Lucidity Festival where I started filming for a project I started called “What is Visionary Art?“. I will be filming and interviewing people for the next few months exploring this particularly interesting style and culture. I love learning and am always trying to expand my skills and understanding of the many mysterious possiblities in life.
Lucidity was beautiful experience out in the Santa Ynez mountains. I heard it referred to as “Jedi Training Camp”. There I got to witness and take part in a wide arrange of healing, energetic and artistic expression. Even more important were the people, the family and friends who came together to share in the celebration. Festivals are an amazing reminder of our shared humanity and of individuality as an expression of our collective vision of a new reality where we come together to honor, respect and love each other.
Spring is here and that means it’s time to get back on the road. I am headed to San Francisco this week to film and interview at the Tribe 13 Bicycle Day event Friday April 19 and at the MAPS Psychedelic Science conference in Oakland April 20 and 21. I will be doing some tattoos here and there over the next few weeks as well. Besides larger pieces, I am primarily interested in tattooing sacred and spiritual imagery. I will soon have a couple finished oil paintings from my new series using the Mische Technique. Also will be hitting up some of my favorite spots in California’s beautiful wilderness for some photography and barefoot adventures.
I am blessed and thankful for the opportunity to make art and share it with you.
